The plaza is formed by a continuous 2 storey retail – the terraces - and will represent the active heart of the scheme. It is meant to be a space vibrant throughout the day: a destination for entertainment and public events. This area will give access to the main building lobbies (Hotel, World Trade Center and Residences) and to a variety of different entertainment venues. It is a leisure destination, and a potential ‘spill-out‘ space for restaurants and cafes. The upper retail terrace will feature stunning views towards the main plaza areas. The upper pedestrian walkway has been designed to have a rich blanket of date palm trees adding an interesting dimension and scale to the plaza. The shape of the public space will accentuate the prominence of the World Trade Center building and create a sense of progressive grandeur and relevance.
